Chelsea has been in the market shopping for players and they acquired the services of a goalkeeper last night and Real Madrid midfielder Kovacic is due to follow.
With less than four hours to go for the transfer window to close, Crystal Palace club chairman Steve Parish has said it would be ridiculous to let Ivorian midfielder Wilfred Zaha leave at this stage.
Zaha scored nine goals and made three assist as he helped Crystal Palace avoid relegation and since then his form has captured London sides Chelsea and Tottenham.
Palace values Zaha at £75million but the club chairman feels it will be ridiculous to sell at this point.
”It would be a ridiculous point to do it, wouldn’t it? He said
“I mean to go the whole transfer window and only think about it now to come in with a bid would be ridiculous.”
“No, nothing at all on [the rumours],” he said.
“I don’t read those stories to be perfectly honest, they circulate all the time.
“I spoke to Wilf yesterday and he certainly gave me no indication it was true about wanting to quit the club.
“In fact, we were talking about how good the new signings were and how they would help us.
