Barcelona Keen On Signing World Cup Winner


FC Barcelona new Director of Football Eric Abidal is starting to believe they can snatch Manchester United and France Midfielder Paul Pogba from the Theatre of Dreams according to reports in Spain.

Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo had put Pogba on their front cover of Thursday newspaper with the headline “Pogba, The Desired” as they claim Abidal wants to make an impression by bringing in the World Cup winner.

Barcelona had initially been put off by the amount of money they would spend to get him after being offered a deal by Mino Raiola, Pogba’s agent given the rocky relationship with manager Jose Mourinho.

Barcelona who already saved £88million this summer by not signing Antoine Griezmann is watching and ready to pounce on a chance to get Pogba as his relationship with Mourinho continues to fail.

The newspaper reports that Pogba who is unhappy at Old Trafford will jump at he chance to leave Manchester United again and his country man Eric Abidal will use his relationship to bring him to the Catalan side.

Pogba is deemed to be the perfect replacement for Andres Iniesta as he has strength, power and the ability to score goals and he also has leadership qiualities as well as experience at the top end of the game having won titles with Juventus, Manchester United and the World Cup with France.

Thoug the deal may not happen in this transfer market as Manchster Unite d is still having trouble signing players and will not let their £89 million player leave without replacing him first. Also, eith inflation rocking the transfer market, Barcelona will have to shell out over £150 million to get Pogba
