Chelsea In Advance Talks To Break World Record for La Liga Player

Chelsea is set to pay trigger the release of Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga who is valued at €80million as their present goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has decided not to report for club duties in a bid to force his move away from the club.

Thibaut Courtois is Real Madrid’s target after they gave up on chasing Manchester United’s goalie David de Gea and the Belgian who was a former Athletico Madrid goalkeeper has longed to return to the Spanish capital to be with his family.

Despite having one year left in his contract, Chelsea has decided not to sell the keeper to Real Madrid.

But, but the keeper has also decided not to report back for club duties as he missed preseason training and the Community Shield clash against Manchester City and that has forced Chelsea to act fast and seek a replacement as the Premier League transfer window closes 5 PM tomorrow,

Chelsea has now decided to make the 23 year old the world most expensive goalkeeper, a record currently held by Liverpool Goalkeeper, Allison who moved from Roma for £66.8million.

Real Madrid themselves almost signed Arrizabalaga for just £17.5million in January, but the club decided backed out of a deal in order to pursue Courtois.

Chelsea coach was quoted by Skysports praising the Kepa.
“I saw him one year ago,” said Sarri. “My first impression was that he is a very good goalkeeper, very young, but very, very good.”

When asked about Courtois, Sarri said:

“I don’t know but I think I am here just to talk about this match and the first question was about Courtois.
“I don’t know at this moment. I want to speak with the club and then together we will decide about it.”

Sarri added: “If I don’t know anything about Courtois then I don’t know anything about Kepa of course!”
