Mauricio Pochettino defends Harry Kane’s Curse

The Premier League is on, it’s the month of August again and Harry Kane’s curse is back. The Tottenham striker must be wary of the month of August as it must be his most dreaded month.

The 25-year-old has now gone 14 matches without a goal in the month of August and he looked short of sharpness during the 2-1 win at St James’ Park. The striker only touched the ball five times in the Newcastle’s penalty area and he did get any shot on target.

This bad luck is usually followed by the striker returning to form and becoming a major threat by September.

Coach Pochettino had defended the World Cup Golden Boot winner when he said:
‘For me, he is in his best form whether he scores or doesn’t score. I don’t have any doubt that he’s in his best form.

‘He worked a lot for the team and I’m sure that he’s going to score. But he can’t score three goals in every game.’

The prolific forward has now had 46 shots across 14 Premier League matches in August without a single one finding it’s way to the back of the net.

Fantasy managers will have to wait till Tottenham face Watford before the striker will register a gaol if the curse continues.
