Fantasy Premier League Game Week 5 Captain Picks

The captain most times hold the fate of the team as his double score can hold the key to winning an H2H match of topping a group. There are many players vying for this position and with surprise packages coming up every week selecting the captain may be tiresome. The top captain candidates for this game week are;

Marcos Alonso.

A player that has consistently delivered 9 points and above in four consecutive games deserves to be picked. With 44 total points and average of 11 points, Alonso can star against Cardiff and we should bank on that.

Arguably the most-captained player for this game week given his form and performances at home. Sergio is a beast at the Etihad and is likely to make a statement in front of the home crowd. He is definitely hungry to get goals and a hungry beast is dangerous. Who knows if a hattrick is in place

One of the few players that can match Alonso in terms of consistency is Eden Hazard. Game week after game week the Belgian has turned up with assists and goal, showing why he is highly rated. Since Europa League is Thursday, he his likely to play a full game and hopefully score and assist.

One player I will tip to score today is Vardy. Whether his team is performing poorly or not, he always seems to trouble keepers and after missing two games, he is back and only a goal or two from him will redeem him.

Laca may have had a slow season but he is steadily getting back on track and while he is mostly overlooked by many, he is still a threat. Though his goal returns may not be much, who knows, a goal and an assist might turn the tides around.

Callum Wilson

Chelsea managed to keep him quiet as his game against the blues is the only game he had failed to either score or assist. Wilson is facing a Leicester side that has conceded 5 goals. For a player with 2 goals and 3 assists, easy as pie
