Chelsea has expressed interest and is keen on signing £40-million rated Aston Villa midfielder, Jack Graelish. The 23-year old Irishman has in recent season attracted the attention of big football clubs in Europe. As it appears, other clubs like Tottenham and Liverpool have been rumoured to have expressed interest in him after Aston Villa failed to get a ticket to the premier league.
Graelish who – on a loan from Notts County to Aston Villa – made his professional debut in January 2012 and went on to score his first goal in December that same year, has spent his football career with the Villans. He has played 22 games and scored three goals in the last season despite an injury and missing a lot of games.
Chelsea’s interest in the talented player comes as no surprised after being advised by John Terry who played alongside the midfielder last season. According to The Sun, the former Blues Legend advised Chelsea to sign Grealish.
Chelsea would have to battle other clubs such as Manchester United and Spurs FC who have reportedly been sniffing around, although, no bid has been made yet.
However, it seems Aston Villa are not ready to let their star player go as they are adamant about nothing less than their asking price.
